UCI World Cup Downhill Lenzerheide CH

High expectations..
Coming from a high, with a win during last weekends IXS EDC race and a potential top 10 results at the last UCI DH World Cup, expectations for Lenzerheide where high…Even Radon Bikes's CEO and Product manager made the trip to Lenzerheide to cheer for the Radon Magura Factory riders, so the pressure was on!
The first day of practice ended with a big bang, unfortunately not in a good way. During his last run of the day, Johannes Fischbach went down, he came short on the big 15 meter triple jump and hit the deck hard. This looked like the end of Fischi’s weekend, but a strong body and even stronger will pulled Fischi back on his bike the other day.

QualifyingMost of the team riders had a descent qualifying run. With Carina being outstanding with a 5th place. The guys, except for Benny, all qualified fairly easy within the top 50 for Saturdays finals.

FinalsHopes for Saturday’s finals were high.Unfortunately things didn’t fell at it’s place for the team this weekend.
Carina couldn’t give her good qualification a follow up, due to 2 big crashes in her final run.Nick Beer also went off track in his race run, Faustin had a good feeling on the bike, but was just a bit to much on the brakes, and Johannes Fischbach said he pushed as hard as he could, but made to much mistakes for a top result.

Next weekend the team travels to the National DH Championships in Germany and France, With Radon being the title sponsor of the German national Champs in Tabarz hopes are high that Fischi or Benny will bring home the national champs jersey.
Good luck to the team!
