RADON JEALOUS 10.0 SL im MTB-News Test
Mitte des letzten Jahres stellte die deutsche Bikeschmiede RADON das neue Race-Hardtail JEALOUS vor. Kurz darauf vermeldete Altmeister Ralph Näf, dass sein Team auf diesem Gefährt im Weltcup unterwegs sein wird. Und als dann in den Medien durchsickerte, dass sich das federleichte Bike auch noch genial fahren sollte, war für uns klar, dass wir dieses Rad testen müssen. Wird die Konkurrenz bei dieser Rennmaschine tatsächlich “jealous”?

Diesmal wurde mir das neue Flaggschiff der Firma Radon, das Jealous, angetragen, um es zwei Monate lang über Stock und Stein zu prügeln. Nach Durchsicht der acht verfügbaren Modelle (Preisbereich: € 1.999 – 6.499,-, wobei einige Varianten schon jetzt deutlich reduziert sind) auf Radons Homepage war mein Favorit rasch gefunden: Das 10.0 SL, wohlfeil um 4.999 Euro.

The completely redesigned JEALOUS carbon frame weighs from 920 grams and combines racing DNA with genuine all-round capability. With internal cable routing, integrated saddle clamp, and modern geometry, it combines clean looks with maximum functionality. The Boost standard ensures stiffness and precise handling, while large-dimensioned tube cross-sections optimize power transmission. With a 55 mm chainline, the frame is designed for all current gear groups. With a rotatable headset and up to 120 mm of travel, you can customize your JEALOUS perfectly to your preferences. With a tool mount under the top tube, two mounting options for bottle cages, and an optional ISCG chain guide, the frame is designed for maximum performance and provides the perfect basis for fast races, demanding trails, or long weekend tours. “One bike, all terrains.”
