The heart of our SLIDE TRAIL AL 8.0 comes in an elegant anodized black with white accents this season, while the slim, modern aluminium frame with flip-chip remains technically unchanged. In terms of the components installed, the success story of our popular trail bike is repeated: complete Fox suspension, SRAM drivetrain and Schwalbe tires. But first things first - the suspension, consisting of a 150 mm Fox 36 Performance suspension fork and the new Fox Float Performance shock with 140 mm travel, offers sufficient reserves to fly down the trail with ease, even in rough terrain. To pedal quickly and ergonomically back to the trail entrance, you can switch on a platform in the fork and shock via a lever. On the drivetrain side, we specify SRAM's GX Eagle groupset, which shifts its twelve gears reliably and precisely and lets you fly up every climb with its wide range of 520 % - there really is the right gear on board for every riding style and all trail conditions. And since the speed you've built up will unfortunately have to be reduced again at some point, we've specified an MT5 4-piston brake system on the SLIDE TRAIL AL 8.0. The classic in Magura's brake range is characterized by good modulation and finely adjustable braking power and offers you the safety you need for hot trail action. On stable and lightweight SUNringlé Düroc 35 Expert system wheels, we mount the snappy Schwalbe Magic Mary at the front and the popular Big Betty at the rear, both in Addix-Soft - Super Trail version. This gives you plenty of grip in a wide variety of trail situations. The Race Face cockpit from the Æffect R series and contact points from SDG round off the equipment of our popular trail bike. Frame
The frame geometry of the SLIDE TRAIL, with its flat handlebars and steep seat angle, is modern and has been optimised for fun rides. Flip chip has been integrated into the back, allowing adjustment of the handlebars and seat angle to suit you. Our SLIDE TRAIL comes with 29" wheels, with 150 mm of travel in front, and 140 mm at the rear. This bike can curve swiftly round any bend, and flies enthusiastically over the trails. In high speed stages it lies deeply on the trail, and its very smooth running makes it highly trustworthy during downhill legs.

RADONS SLIDE TRAIL 10.0 HD kommt nicht nur mit Carbon-Hauptrahmen, die Bonner statten ihr All-Mountain-Flaggschiff für den Preis von 4429 € auch unverschämt gut aus, etwa mit Fox-Factory-Federelementen oder DT-Carbon-Laufrädern. Auch mit Blick auf die anderen „Direktvertriebler“ in diesem Test, hat das SLIDE ausstattungstechnisch die Nase vorn.

There are couple of things on the SLIDE TRAIL 9.0 that would normally prevent it from getting a perfect 10 rating, but everything seems to have fallen into place. It doesn’t have a full carbon frame, yet it’s the lightest bike. The BB height doesn’t seem to stack up either, but the ride is dialled. We’ve even grown to like the JPS colour scheme. As with most direct-sales brands, RADON delivers a lot of bike for the money.
