What is a wearing part?

Many parts of your bike are wearing parts and should therefore be checked and maintained regularly. These are moving parts like tires, chain and cassette but also fixed parts like holds and brake pads. Becaus wear and tear varies by manufacturer and riding style, we cannot provide general information about the lifespan of wear parts. Therefore you're advised to check the parts regularly.

  • shifting cables and outer liner 
  • cranks, cassette and sprocket wheels
  • bottom bracket
  • brake pads
  • brake fluid
  • sealrings / oil of suspension elements
  • pedals
