World Cup-ready down to the last screw - with our JEALOUS 10.0 EA there are definitely no more excuses. Every component has been selected for maximum propulsion, minimum weight and perfect function. It all starts with the superb JEALOUS carbon frame, which weighs just 950 grams with all the technical features it has to offer, and looks extremely sexy in its dark green effect paint finish. At the front, the FOX 32 Float Factory Stepcast fork with its 100 mm travel provides plenty of comfort and can be perfectly adjusted to the rider's preferences to always generate the necessary grip. In addition, the shimmering golden Kashima coating provides the necessary bling-bling factor as well as the finest response. The super-light, hand-flattering cockpit, like the comfort-boosting carbon seatpost, comes from Newmen. To equip you for all eventualities, we have equipped the JEALOUS 10.0 EA with a super-fast and precise electronic drivetrain from SRAM, the XX1 Eagle AXS. Everything good comes together here: carefree and crisp shifting, low weight, a generous gear range with the 10-52 tooth cassette and the look is also impressive. The copper-colored cassette and chain go perfectly with the Kashima tone and the liquid green paint of the frame. Braking is provided by Magura's XC flagship MT8SL, which perfectly combines braking power and minimal weight. The race-ready package is completed with the Newmen SL X.A.30 wheelset with lightweight and solid carbon rims, which easily accommodate the tires with their 30 mm rim width and bring them into shape. Here we fit the fastest tires available from Schwalbe: the combination of Racing Ray at the front and Racing Ralph at the rear in the Addix Speedgrip rubber compound and with Super Race carcass, also with the stylish transparent skin sidewall. RADON JEALOUS 10.0 SL im MTB-News Test
Mitte des letzten Jahres stellte die deutsche Bikeschmiede RADON das neue Race-Hardtail JEALOUS vor. Kurz darauf vermeldete Altmeister Ralph Näf, dass sein Team auf diesem Gefährt im Weltcup unterwegs sein wird. Und als dann in den Medien durchsickerte, dass sich das federleichte Bike auch noch genial fahren sollte, war für uns klar, dass wir dieses Rad testen müssen. Wird die Konkurrenz bei dieser Rennmaschine tatsächlich “jealous”?

Diesmal wurde mir das neue Flaggschiff der Firma Radon, das Jealous, angetragen, um es zwei Monate lang über Stock und Stein zu prügeln. Nach Durchsicht der acht verfügbaren Modelle (Preisbereich: € 1.999 – 6.499,-, wobei einige Varianten schon jetzt deutlich reduziert sind) auf Radons Homepage war mein Favorit rasch gefunden: Das 10.0 SL, wohlfeil um 4.999 Euro.

Frame
There is no cleaner look and higher stiffness than with the JEALOUS carbon frames. The special carbon fibres used make the JEALOUS frame not only stiff and therefore extremely progressive, but also comfortable. With its clean and striking design, the carbon frame not only cuts a fine figure, it is also designed to withstand loads. The brake lines and shift cables are routed internally to protect them from dirt. This also makes openings on the drive side of the frame a thing of the past. Stiffness is provided by the large tube cross-sections of the frame and the Boost standard at the rear additionally supports the stiffness. The frame weight of 950g and the World Cup-tested geometry form a perfect package that makes podium finishes child's play.
