At first glance, the Fox Factory suspension catches the eye: the Fox 38 Factory with FIT GRIP2 cartridge at the front and the Fox Float X2 Factory at the rear are the flagship of the suspension specialists from the USA and not only impress with their shiny gold Kashima coating. Are you one of those riders who want to get the most out of their suspension? With the GRIP2 cartridge, all damping parameters, from HSC/LSC to HSR/LSR, can be set separately from each other, allowing the 170 mm to be individually adjusted to your riding style and route. Whether it's a fast downhill or an energy-sapping climb: with the SRAM EAGLE 12-speed drivetrain with a high-quality mix of GX and X01 components, you not only have a huge range at your disposal, you also benefit from extremely crisp and fast gear changes as well as a high level of reliability in tough everyday enduro riding. With the Maxxis Assegai and Minion DHR II, both in the 3C Maxxterra rubber compound and lightweight Exo+ carcass, you are always riding with a high level of grip and benefit from well-balanced handling even at the limit. Should the pace be over the limit, drop the anchor and let the superb Hayes Dominion A4 slow you down as quickly as possible. Ergonomics, workmanship and modulation are at the highest level, and with the 203 mm discs at the front and rear you have plenty of braking power. Ja, das RADON SWOOP kostet „nur“ 4499 Euro, und ja, es ist damit das Top-Modell im Angebot des Versenders. Mit seinem Carbon-Hauptrahmen, dem Fox-Factory-Fahrwerk und den leichten Newmen-Alu-Laufrädern steht das SWOOP dennoch da wie eine Eins und muss sich in Bezug auf die Ausstattung im hochpreisigen Testfeld keinerlei Blöße geben.

Mit dem neuen RADON SWOOP ist dem Direktversender wieder ein guter Wurf gelungen. Das schicke Carbon-Enduro orientiert sich jetzt noch mehr in Richtung Abfahrt und kann mit einem feinfühligen Ansprechverhalten und jeder Menge Laufruhe auftrumpfen. Auch den Weg zum Gipfel muss man mit dem Carbon-SWOOP nicht fürchten – ein echter Kletter-Spezialist ist das Enduro-Bike allerdings nicht.

Frame
The specifications for the development of the carbon version of the SWOOP were clear - fresh design, modern kinematics and new shock linkage. The result is a light and stiff carbon main frame with a solid aluminium rear triangle. No stone has been left unturned. Progressive geometry, 29" wheels, geometry adjustment, 170mm travel - no compromises have been made here! The kinematics even allow coil shocks. For high manoeuvrability, we kept the chainstays short at 438mm and despite the long wheelbase and the flat steering angle, even tight turns are child's play. The highlight is the rotatable headset, which can change the steering angle by 1.5 degrees.
