SWOOP AL 8.0
Never change a running system - our SWOOP AL 8.0 is on the starting line for the new season, technically unchanged but with a new look. The familiar aluminum frame offers 170 mm travel at the front and rear and a 3-stage flip chip for individual geometry adjustment. The entry-level model of the SWOOP AL family is your price-conscious trail buddy, with which both bike park rides and extended enduro tours are on your menu. On the suspension side, our product managers rely entirely on Fox - consisting of a 38 Performance fork with FIT GRIP 3-pos. cartridge and X2 Performance shock with 2-pos. lever at the rear. The suspension has plenty of reserves, equips you for rough drops or rough trails and literally invites you to go ballistic. If things get too wild, Magura's 4-piston MT5 Thirty brakes are there for you, offering reliable and powerful braking power that is always easy to modulate. SRAM's 12-speed Eagle drivetrain with parts from the NX and GX series impresses with crisp gear changes and a wide range so that you can precisely select the right gear in every trail situation. The SUNringlé Düroc SD37 Expert system wheelset is fitted with Schwalbe's classic Magic Mary and Big Betty tyres, both with a grippy Addix-Soft rubber compound and stable Super Trail carcass. The contact points are made by SDG. We rely on the Thrice grip and the legendary Bel Air V3 saddle. The SWOOP AL 8.0 - pure enduro at a low price!

Choose your meal: tour, trail or park! With the FlipChip technology you can quickly change the geometry of the SWOOP 170, with the steer angle and seat angle changing in the different positions of the shock mount. This way you adapt the bike perfectly to yourself and your route. A new feature is the alignment of the frame on 29" wheels and tires, which further improves descent behaviour.

TESTBERICHT ALS PDF-DOKUMENTRADON SWOOP 9.0 @ theloamwolf.com
Overall, RADON have put together a very capable bike at a reasonable price. Aside from a couple of spec nuances, the bike provides a very good option for those looking for a hard-charging enduro machine. The rear suspension configuration requires challenging terrain before it comes into its own. Pedaling performance are certainly low on the list of priorities in its design so if you’re a climber or looking for a long distance ride, this may not be your ideal choice. If you live to shred the DH, then a burlier set of tires, and perhaps a stiffer rear wheel, the SWOOP will be a formidable machine for the gnarliest of trails. This is a bike made for getting rad-on!
"High performance on a budget" - SWOOP 8.0 @ enduro-mtb.com
The RADON SWOOP 8.0 2019 impressed us with truly outstanding value for money. The geometry is spot on, the suspension is excellent and the spec is well chosen and convincing throughout. The bike climbs very well and it descends superbly on a wide variety of trails. Of course, you have to accept minor flaws in the finish, but we can’t remember ever riding a bike capable of offering such a good time for so little money. Brilliant!

➦ With the help of our graphics we want to give you a recommendation how to find the right frame size. In addition to stride length and body height, your personal riding style, area of use and preference also play a major role. If you are on the borderline of your specifications, you can choose between two frame heights: the smaller frame size is more agile/flexible/playful, the next larger frame size is quieter/stabler and has a better uphill performance.
