The SLIDE TRAIL 9.0 shines again this year with a fantastic equipment package and an absolutely top price-performance ratio. On the basis of the well-known light and stable carbon frame with 140 mm travel, we have built a visually elegant full suspension bike in a discreet two-tone finish. The Fox suspension is super-sensitive and well-balanced. The rear is equipped with the Float X Performance Elite shock, which was introduced last year and has proven itself since then. Together with the sophisticated Fox 36 Float Performance Elite fork with FIT GRIP2 cartridge, it easily unlocks all trail levels. Good arguments for a Shimano XT 12-speed shifting system are a dime a dozen, smoother gear changes even under tough conditions are hard to find. The drive is brought to the ground by 29" wheels from Mavic, the Crossmax XL S set with 30mm inner rim width is particularly characterised by a super-stable rim that allows for low tire pressure and thus more traction and control. This is of course further supported by the mounted Maxxis Minion DHF tires at the front and DHR II at the rear in the 3C MaxxTerra EXO+ version, so that there is sufficient grip even for wild manoeuvres. If things get too fast at some point, you can brake powerfully and safely with the help of Magura's four-piston classic MT5 and large discs. A RADON dropper post for plenty of freedom of movement downhill and the Race Face cockpit allow maximum control over the trail and the bike. The SLIDE TRAIL 9.0 - always the best choice!

The frame geometry of the SLIDE TRAIL, with its flat handlebars and steep seat angle, is modern and has been optimised for fun rides. Flip chip has been integrated into the back, allowing adjustment of the handlebars and seat angle to suit you. Our SLIDE TRAIL comes with 29" wheels, with 150 mm of travel in front, and 140 mm at the rear. This bike can curve swiftly round any bend, and flies enthusiastically over the trails. In high speed stages it lies deeply on the trail, and its very smooth running makes it highly trustworthy during downhill legs.

RADONS SLIDE TRAIL 10.0 HD kommt nicht nur mit Carbon-Hauptrahmen, die Bonner statten ihr All-Mountain-Flaggschiff für den Preis von 4429 € auch unverschämt gut aus, etwa mit Fox-Factory-Federelementen oder DT-Carbon-Laufrädern. Auch mit Blick auf die anderen „Direktvertriebler“ in diesem Test, hat das SLIDE ausstattungstechnisch die Nase vorn.

There are couple of things on the SLIDE TRAIL 9.0 that would normally prevent it from getting a perfect 10 rating, but everything seems to have fallen into place. It doesn’t have a full carbon frame, yet it’s the lightest bike. The BB height doesn’t seem to stack up either, but the ride is dialled. We’ve even grown to like the JPS colour scheme. As with most direct-sales brands, RADON delivers a lot of bike for the money.
