Johannes Fischbach wins the European DH Cup Season opener!

The Radon Swoop 200 and Johannes Fischbach seem to be a perfect match.
Last weekend the race for the European Cup title officially started in Kranjska Gora - Slovenia.With over 400 riders at the gate, the oldskool track of Kranjska provided some tide racing.

Qualifying: During qualifying, our team riders showed to have found a good set-up, and already had a good pace.Carina Cappellari put on the pressure on the boys, by qualifying in 2nd.Fischi and Faustin responded with a amazing 3rd and 5th place.Expectations for the sundays finals were high, and the inside team battle was on ;).

Finals: Sunday greeted the riders with a bright blue sky, the conditions were perfect!After the masters and junior category it was time for the Eilte Women.With a field over 20 riders, Carina Cappellari took home the silver medal.
Traditional at every European DH cup race, the last category of the day was the Elite Men Super Final.Benny Strasser was the first rider to defend the Radon Magura team colors.He ended his day at a respectable 15th place. With 5 riders left on top of the hill, it was time for Faustin to make his way down the hill.He crosses the line in 3rd, which would be good for a 7th spot at the end of the day.
The German national DH Champion, Johannes Fischbach, had an excellent run down the Slovakian mountain.With a time of 2.23.106 he set the fastest time of the day and took home the win!
