RAPHAELA RICHTER WINS ENDURO WORLD SERIES U21 | LA THUILE ITALY

The 4th round of the Enduro World Series were held in La Thuile Italy. Our youngstar, Raphaela Richter, took home an amazing win. With over 1:50 minutes lead she degraded her rivals.
Raphaela Richter:“After day one i had an over 50 seconds lead on the number 2 girl from France. Going into day 2 i still was pretty nervous, because day 2 would be a very long day in the sattle of my Radon Slide 160.A lot of things still could go wrong! My plan was to not take any risks and bring it home safely. Besides a crash at stage 2 my plan worked out very well and i could even extend my lead 2 to over 1:50 minutes. It feels so good to be on the top spot of the podium, and also leading the overall, happy girl here!”
After his big crash, a week ago, during the Megavalanche in France, James Shirley didn’t start in the La Thuile race. He wants to give his back the well needed rest for his big trip the Whistler Canada next week.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS DOWNHILL | GERMANY TABARZ

This weekend we also witnessed the national championships Downhill. In Tabarz Johannes Fischbach and Benny Strasser presented the Radon Magura colors.
Tabarz is well know for it’s short but technical track in the woods, with a lot of slippery roots..Saturdays qualifying went down under perfect sunny conditions.Johannes Fischbach showed the crowd why he is knows as "Germany’s fastest” and took the win with over 3 seconds on the number 2.Benny Strasser took home 3rd place.
Sundays expectations were very high, and the pressure for our team riders was on.With only 20 riders left at the start.. it started raining cats and dogs!None of the top riders even came close to the fastest time of the day. In the poring rain Fischi was the last man on the hill… could he be the “Sam Hill” of Tabarz? With a time of 2:34:897 he just came just over 2 seconds short for the win and took home the bronze medal.
Johannes Fischbach:“With 20 riders to go the rain came down hard… i tried to push as hard as i could to come close to the times which we set in dry conditions. But i have to be honest, on the slippery roots this was impossible. I was surprised that i still managed to take home the bronze.."

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS DOWNHILL | FRANCE

At the same time as Fischi and Benny were fighting the rain, our French rider Faustin Figaret pulled of a great results during the French National Championships. With a packed field, with a lot of top 20 World Cup racers, Faustin managed to push his Radon Swoop 200 across the finish line in 5th position!
Faustin Figaret:“I am so happy dude! Crazy! So Good!"
