Another top 10 finish for Carina Cappellari

The Fort William DH World Cup, a classic on the UCI Calendar, famous of it’s crazy spectators.
The 2016 edition turned out to be a special one.Dust, sunshine and over 25 degrees, very uncharacteristic for the DH World Cup at the Ben Nevis range.Wich made the brutal track even more demanding on riders and material.
During the first day of practice the Radon Magura Factory team riders where searching for the right set-up.But as qualifying time came they got the Radon Swoop 200 DH machine working the right way.
Unfortunately bad luck took the best of Benny Strasser, a crash during qualifying forced him to stay on the sideline for Sundays finals. All the other riders qualified fairly easy.

Race day:

On Sunday the Benis Nevis range saw over 25.000 spectators lined up around the track, which made for a unreal thrilling atmosphere.Carina Cappellari said she had goosebumps all the way down the hill, especially when you jump into the finish arena with over 15.000 screaming spectators.Carina pushed her Swoop 200 across the line in a stunning 8th place. Our French rider rider, Faustin Figaret, improved 22 spots on his qualifying run and ended up in a respectable 35th spot.
Germany’s fastest, Johannes Fischbach, again proved to be the fastest German downhill rider. After some hard days in the office he still managed to take home a great 25th place.
Riders and staff are already on their way to the next stop of the UCI DH World Cup in Leogang next weekend. For more updates on the team please check our social media accounts: &
