MANON CARPENTER GOES 3 OUT OF 3 UCI DH World Cup #3, Leogang

12.06.2017

Last weekend the Radon Factory DH Racing team travelled to Leogang for the 3rd round of the UCI mountain Bike DH World Cup. Manon Carpenter took another world cup podium, making it 3 out of 3.

Manon is gaining more and more confidence on the, for Manon, totally new Radon Swoop 200 DH bike. This weekend showed she is in touch with the top steps of the podium. Begin less then 0.1 sec down at split 3 of the winning time shows that there's more to come this season. A couple mistakes in the last section did throw Manon back to 4th position.

"It was a cool weekend with some super close racing! I improved a lot on my time from qualifying and carried good speed in most of the splits, just needed a bit less hesitation towards the bottom. Less than 3 seconds from 1st place. I can be happy with my race run and know each race my confidence is building. A small break now from World Cups and then onto Andorra, a track that i always love to race"

In his 2nd race back "The Fish" is getting up to speed.
"Germany's fastest" showed 3 out of 4 split times within the top 20, unfortunately a couple of mistakes in the last split section pushed Johannes back to 52th place. A lack of time on the bike could be a reason for these uncharacteristic mistakes.
"I had a good weekend, the team worked very well.
My injury, the broken collarbone isn't really bothering me anymore. I showed i had the speed, but as an result of some  riding mistakes i dropped back to 52th.
We made some big steps forward, and with 2 weeks of training and testing in front of me i should be able to close the gap"

"Such a good weekend! I had a blast on the Swoop200, and the team was working crazy good.
My race run was perfect at the top, but i made a huge mistake at the bottom. With times being so close it cost me a lot of places.
To be back in the World Cup overall top 20 is good for me, this means i am protected for the next race. Thanks again to the whole team and sponsors for the awesome job this weekend."

Leogang produced some crazy fast and tight racing.
The Radon Factory DH Racing team had a good weekend, unfortunately we made some small mistakes which cost the team an even better result.
As a team manager i only can be proud at what this brand new team has achieved in such a short time.
Thanks crew, riders and partners for the hard work and trust, bring on Andorra!
