FAQ

Maximum travel

Sometimes we're being asked if it's possible to equip a bike with a fork of longer travel than the one pre-built, especially if it's officially allowed without loosing guarantee claims.

The frames of our bikes are designed for a particular length of travel. We're testing the bikes with exactly the setup they've been designed for. The testresults therefore don't allow only conclusions about other geometries than the ones tested. So unfortunately the answer to the question, whether it's possible to use longer forks, is no.

Please note: Different forks, even the ones with the same amount of travel, can have different fitting lengths. Even different model years can vary in a bigger range. Not only does this affect the geometry but also the load values in the head tube.

If you replace your fork with a model that changes the values, it's on your own risk.
